CSA Shares

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a local food distribution system that creates a direct link between farmers and consumers.

Individuals pre-purchase a “share” of the farm’s harvest in the spring when expenses are highest for the farmer. In doing so, CSA members commit to supporting the farm financially in exchange for a weekly supply of fresh produce and other farm products during the growing season.

By joining our CSA, you will not only support our farm, but also build a relationship between producers and consumers that is as ancient as human life. We believe that to be directly connected to the land where your food is produced and to the farmer who produces it, is a highly rewarding experience that promotes life, health, diversity, understanding and community.

Our share is 20 weeks long and will include organic produce (link to all info about our vegetables, herbs and flowers found on blog) and herbs, fresh cut flowers, and eggs (link to info on eggs on blog). Full and Half shares are available. We also offer a meat share which will contain grass-fed (and finished) beef(link to all info about our grass raised beef found on the blog), and pastured chicken(link to all info about our pastured chicken found on the blog).  For more details, view our 2017 contract here. To reserve a spot in our CSA, either send the contract along with payment to 15995 Grindstone Lake Road, Sandstone, MN 55072, or sign up online via Paypal.  Currently our main drop-off site is South Minneapolis, but we are happy to add drop-off locations if there is enough interest in one area. Please email us if you have at least 5 interested people and we will work with you to create a drop-off location that is convenient to your group.

"We love being a part of Abraham's Table Farm because we love knowing where our food is coming from and knowing personally those who are growing it. The team is wonderful about sharing both trials and celebrations during the farming season, letting us understand the ebb and flow of agriculture which is really lost when you go to the grocery store and everything looks the same. We know that we are eating better than we ever have before because we believe in the growing practices of this team. The flowers and herbs are also huge perk for me and something I've never experienced with any other CSA we've tried." We eat with the seasons. We eat with our farmers. We eat well!”

"The owners of Abraham's Table don't just sell healthy food. They live out an ethic of simplicity, sustainability and community that has taught me so much. I signed up thinking I would just get some great food. What I have actually gotten is a new way to relate to the food I put in my body and a more comprehensive view of health and wellness.”

"Abraham's Table Farm is a treasure! From the very first share, I have been extremely impressed with the quality of their vegetables. I haven't seen better anywhere else. We get the meat share too, and it is such a relief to not second guess our meat purchases. I know their animals had a real animal's life and died surrounded by gratitude. Plus, I am getting closer to roasting a perfect chicken, one ATF bird at a time. We will be signing up for another share next season!"

"My family has enjoyed participating in the Abraham's Table farm CSA. We have had the chance to try varieties of our favorite vegetables that we new to us: heirloom tomatoes, holy basil, dinosaur kale, and others. It feels like my birthday each week when I pick up our share. I am excited to see the beautiful, fresh, colorful vegetables and then take them straight home to prepare the most delicious meal! Tuesday night dinners have taken on an experimental quality, as we intentionally try new vegetables with our CSA bounty!”

–Billie Slater

"Almost a full summer of Abraham's Table CSA is (quite literally) under my belt, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the meat, eggs, and produce. My family has been well nourished, and I have grown as a cook, benefiting from the recipes and insights and food lore that accompanied each week's delivery. I look forward to partnering with this beautiful, healthy, responsible farm family for years to come!"

–Abby Neighbors

"In a rushed world, my CSA share slows my pace. Summer and fall seem longer as I mark my weeks by spring greens, zucchini, herbs, cucumbers, tomatoes, winter pies and pestos. I savor the bounty and make dishes using produce at its peak. The wild flowers remind me of this long after the food has been cooked and I look forward to what nature has in store. Thank you, Abraham's Table, for stretching out my summer and expanding my world."
